Warning: Potential Spoilers, but I'll try to be careful. I LOVED the movie! I think it was the best movie I've seen in a long time -- possibly ever.

Favorite movie quotes:
"This is no place for a hobbit!" -- Gandalf
"I am no man!" -- Eowyn
"That still only counts as one!" -- Gimli
"Certain chance of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?" -- Gimli
"And that's for my old Gaffer!" -- Sam
"I do not doubt his heart, only the reach of his arm." -- Eomer

If I had to choose a favorite scene it would be very hard, but I will say mine was the first scene in which Galadriel appeared.

Now I just have to wait for the extended DVD to come out...

Coca-Cola Update
Last time I blogged I shared that I was giving up Coke. Well technically, I've been successful. I haven't had any since Tuesday. Thursday, after I blogged and took my nap, I had an even worse caffeine-withdrawl headache, so I drank half of one of Scott's Dr. Peppers, which took the edge off the headache a little. Then after Weight Watchers I went to Subway. I had a full card, so I HAD to buy a soda to get my free sub. ;) So I had Diet Dr. Pepper, which got rid of the headache completely. So I guess I have achieved a partial victory. I have given up Coke, but I'm not quite ready to give up caffeine. Hopefully, I won't start drinking Diet Dr. Pepper in abundance. I will try to only drink it when I'm out somewhere, or when I'm getting a headache. It's the only caffeinated diet drink I can stand, but maybe I'll find something else. I still want to give up caffeine -- someday.

Return of the King!
We're getting ready to go to the matinee in a little while. I'm so excited, as I've waited all year to see it! I just hope it won't be too crazy at the movie theater.

Clearing the Clutter
I started de-cluttering a couple of days ago, and now I'm obsessed with getting rid of stuff. I go through this a couple of times a year. I usually don't get rid of anything I regret, either. As a kid, I was a horrible packrat, but I'm not too bad now. I do tend to collect stuff still, but not as much. I also come to my senses quickly and get rid of stuff when I figure out that I don't need it or love it. I think I get motivated this time of year for stress relief, not to mention the idea that more stuff is coming in makes me want to counteract that.

Gotta run! Scott said, "don't rush yourself" and, "I'll be in the car." LOL

Oh, and did I mention that I think George W. Bush is a
Great President, not a Miserable Failure?

I'm having a serious caffeine-withdrawl headache this morning. I didn't have any Coke yesterday, and I'm giving it up completely. I drink too much of it, and it's interfering with my weight-loss efforts. I hate diet drinks, so that won't be a substitute for me. They just make me want "the real thing." And there is no moderation with me and Coke. I can't seem to limit it to just one. I'm facing the reality that I can't deal with drinking it, and it's not worth it to me anymore. It's addictive, which sounds kind of silly when we're talking about soda, but yet it's true. I'm pretty sure that I will begin seeing some more results at Weight Watchers now that I've taken this ~~painful~~ step. I'm taking Aleve now and going back to bed. :(

Or at least i think it's #6. It's been awhile, but I was looking around in my drafts folder and found this one. Kookin Kidz: This is a fun little game, although maybe a little twisted. I would say it's a perfect PMS game. I can't speak for the game's creators, but on my part it's all in good fun. I've never been able to get my broom to do that anyway --- even when I thought my eyes looked like that.

Update:
I got a score of 150 yesterday before I got tired of it. I'm done playing it now, I guess. Once you learn the trick to this game, I think you can play indefinitely. I would give hints, but that might take the fun out of it for you.

MerryChristmas!

I had so much fun with this TEXT decorating that when I was really, really bored last night I thought of making a Christmas tree. I drew it out on a scrap of paper while I was at the genealogy library. See, I volunteer there at my church once a month. I usually just sit there and crochet or read. Last night I read Anna Karenina (yes, I'm STILL reading this -- I'm on page 474. It's very, very good.) until the choir showed up to practice, then I crocheted and listened to the singing. And then I thought of making this tree. I don't know if the @'s really work that well. I thought about using O's. I may change it before it's all said and done... The best thing about this tree is that it may buy me some time. It gives people something to look at while my page loads -- very slowly.

Last night was Family Home Evening. We didn't have any real plans, other than to read more of A Christmas Carol. Oh yeah, and we sang the first verse of "Joy to the World" which went well until we got to the chorus, and then we each had our own version, LOL. Anyway, it was my turn to read, so I read Stave 2 -- All about Scrooge's experiences with the Ghost of Christmas Past. What a fun read. It took 45 minutes, but it went by really fast -- especially for me. I love the book and I love to read aloud. However, I can't fake a good English accent, so I didn't even try. Scott can do it, which is so cool. But what I lack in authentic-sounding accents, I think I make up for in my own ways. Then Scott got a brilliant idea that we could all wrap presents. Yeah!!! ;) So I popped in It's A Wonderful Life, and we all fought over the scotch tape and wrapped presents while we watched the movie. We're almost done with the wrapping, now! Scott had already boxed and sealed all the presents at work, since he works in a warehouse and boxes and ships telecommunications stuff. So, brilliant man that he is -- we bought almost exclusively online this year, and he had the gifts shipped to his office.

It was a fairly successful F.H.E. All we have to do is try to have some official family time. Thank goodness it doesn't have to be perfect, because we would never do it. It seems like the more we try to plan every detail, the worse it goes, LOL.

I thought I'd decorate my blog for Christmas. But it isn't a new banner, it's done entirely with TEXT. Isn't that cool? My page may load 1/2 second faster now.

Go find MEG if you want to try it. She always knows just how to decorate blogs.

I'm about to send Ian and Christopher to Valinor. But seriously, it hasn't been the most fantastic day so far. I went to pick up Brother Stevens today, and he had already left. Arrgghhh. I was a little irritated, because I could have stayed home this morning. While I was out, I went ahead and picked up some groceries. When I got home, Charity said Ian and Christopher had been fighting, and they have both been brats even since I got home from the store. And I have cramps. And it's overcast outside. And my dogs are brats today too. I think I'm going to lie down. I probably won't be allowed to sleep, but I'm going to give it a try.

I got Legolas at first, but it honestly doesn't fit me. I am a lot more like Elrond, especially at certain times of the month.

WorldNetDaily: SADDAM CAUGHT!

This is wonderful for the Iraqi people, not to mention the Bush re-election campaign! I would say more, but I've got to run. I have to get ready for church.
