I woke up with a bad headache today and it just won't go away. It feels like a sinus/PMS headache. It would be nice if all 3 of my boys could just get along for the day (be quiet) -- that would really help. They're all very intense about video games. ~~sigh~~

Cassandra got married on Thursday. That was important information, but I didn't want to mention it until I could write a lot. But I guess I don't really have a lot to write since I wasn't there. Scott had to work and their marriage license was only good for a little while longer. But it was a very small, private wedding anyway. They were going to get married at the courthouse, but we suggested that the bishop could do it (and would do it for free). They had the ceremony at their Relief Society president's house. I'll put up some pictures when I get them. For now, how about a baby picture? This is one of my favorites of her. My grandbaby is bound to be this cute too. ;)

Scott is at his office today. He has to give a talk in sacrament meeting tomorrow, so he's working on it there so he can think and read (it's almost always really noisy here, LOL). Scott always gives wonderful talks. He puts a lot of thought into researching his topic, and he's a wonderful speaker.

I think a lot of my fatigue lately has been mental/emotional. Do you know any attention leeches? I have a knack for attracting them, LOL. Brother Stevens is the most demanding, and I get to spend one day a week (4+ hours) with him. He's really a sweet and funny little old man, but it just sucks the energy right out of me. And he won't ever let you off the phone. I have a friend who is really great at getting off the phone quickly. I think I'm going to ask her to give me lessons. It will be cheaper than a chiroprator, LOL.

Oh, and did I mention that I think George W. Bush is a
Great President?

I haven't had the energy or motivation to get on here the last few days with all the Christmas stuff (Okay, and playing The Sims), and then to top it all off, my dog Obi has been sick since last night (Piglet is always a mess on a normal day) -- and of course it would be that Padi was miffed or something and peed on our bed last night right before bedtime. I cleaned that up and put on fresh sheets and stayed up pretty late working on the laundry. And then I smelled IT. I didn't know what, but I thought one of the dogs had left a surprise by my desk. I turned on a couple of lights and tried not to wake up Scott. It turns out the smell was from Obi all the way in the living room. The kids had all come out of their rooms looking for the source as well. I was beginning to think a sewer pipe had broken! So Charity and Jason stayed up and cleaned the crate, washed the dog and lit incense to try to get rid of the smell. Then this morning it was the same process. And then again tonight when we got home from the ward Christmas party. Since Charity is sick today with a fever and a sore throat, I've given Obi both of his baths today -- plus Piglet. I'm beat. I fell asleep listening to the radio at about 11:30 am today and slept until almost 3 pm. I must have been really tired, because I usually don't do that. I'm glad, because I don't know how I would have made it through the evening.

So anyway, I'm going to go to bed now and rest up for whatever comes my way tomorrow. I'll try to be more diligent and blog again tomorrow.

Oh, and did I mention that I think George W. Bush is a Great President?

I liked this quiz, but I had to edit it just a little. I think for myself, and I know the president does as well. Anyway, to dovetail a little, let me just add my Googlebomb here and say that I think he is a
Great President.

You're the W!
You are George Walker Bush! You are the most
powerful man in the world, [edit]
and you always think for yourself.

I didn't get to blog last night because we had our weekly Family Home Evening. Scott read to us from The Christmas Carol. He even did the voices really well. I used to be the read-aloud queen, but now Scott has really gotten into it.

We also made our graham cracker houses, which turned out well. But they were really hard to put together because the royal icing I made was too thin. I'd put up some pictures, but I have to re-install a program first -- I'm not in the mood, but maybe someday before Christmas.

I enjoyed my appointment with Dr. S. yesterday -- I always do. He's a wonderful psychiatrist. I always leave there happy. He's fun to talk to, but at $100 for 30 minutes, he should be, huh? So I'm now sane enough to make it for 7 more weeks until my next visit. Seriously though, I came away from there with some new ideas. Not stuff he told me to do or think, but stuff I'm now thinking about. He's quite a miracle-worker. I know I need to do more positive thinking -- I tend to assume people think the worst of me, and I also need to take more personal responsibility for how I'm feeling.

Anyway -- on to another topic: After my appointment yesterday I met Scott and we went and got lunch (me: Subway Red Wine Vinaigrette Club, Scott: Wendy's double cheeseburger). We went to the park and listened to Rush. I got vinaigrette sauce all over my shirt. :P Then I did some grocery shopping -- with a funky vinegar smell. But hey, when you live a 30 minute drive from town, you're not going to go change the shirt.

Oh yeah, Scott brought home our tree last night. The kids have started decorating it today -- although it's now leaning really badly to one side, LOL. They're taking a break now and watching Pirates of the Caribbean. Scott bought the DVD yesterday, along with the extended version of The Two Towers. Yeah!

Well, I'm boring myself now. TTYL...

lime
You are Lime.
You are quirky and misunderstood. You are
definitely your own person. You don't let
anyone tell you who you should be. You never
sell out your values and beliefs, no matter
what. However, you can sometimes have trouble
fitting in, but only because you are
misunderstood.

you are mediumturquoise
#48D1CC

Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.

Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it.

Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up.

I couldn't get on Blogger yesterday. I was disappointed, but I got over it by playing more of The Sims. ;) If you don't play The Sims, then the rest of this is going to sound pretty stupid -- i.e. I'm not really a grown-up, but I play one in real life. ;)

On the game I made a boarding school with 8 children -- the maximum number of characters in one house. Of course, there are drawbacks in the game to having only children in the house. No one can cook. The only way they can make money is to paint, and they don't get much that way. They can't hire a maid or a gardener. So anyway, since they must be rich kids to live at a boarding school, I'm using the money cheat. They call in a caterer every day. The food isn't that great, but it's much more satisfying than the potato chips they get from the refrigerator (weird, huh?). A school bus shows up every stinking day even though I'm trying to run a boarding school, LOL. At first I tried to keep them off the bus, but it doesn't work that well, plus they have to do a lot of studying to keep up their grades. I decided that it must be a field trip bus -- and they get a field trip every day if they make it to the bus, LOL. When they don't make it to the bus, they have to study for a long time.

The expensive computers are great because they do double duty for studying and a quick way to meet their need for fun. Bathrooms are a big problem. I'm using the auto-flushing toilets, but I need to make more bathrooms. I thought about using stalls since there is a real privacy issue -- they won't go if someone else walks in. But stall toilets get clogged -- from what I remember. I would have to use some sort of editor to get the stalls anyway -- I think. I didn't see them in the menu. Showers are a problem too. The kids get water everywhere. Plus, showers get leaky and kids can't fix them or call the repairman. I put showers in their own separate 2x2 rooms. That seems to work the best, and keeps them from getting "stuck".

I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but I can put in a couple of servos (robotic maids) to get the cleaning done. That would cut down on the roach problem.

Well, now I'm ready to play again for a little while before I have to go see Dr. S. Then I get to go grocery shopping. I'll try to blog later today. I may even talk about something other than The Sims.
