This is really stupid, but not surprising. The solution to this problem is cats. I doubt a cat would get arrested.

1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not? I don't like to shop for several reasons: 1.) I live a long way from town, so if I drive in I feel I need to make the trip worth it -- so I feel I need to get all my shopping done at once, which takes awhile and is tiring. 2.) I don't usually have much money, so I have to be careful. 3.) I also hate crowds.
2. What was the last thing you purchased? long-distance minutes for Cassandra's phone card.
3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why? Online, definitely. It's fast and easy, you can visit a lot of stores quickly, it's easy to find what you're looking for, and --- best of all --- you don't have to drive anywhere because it's delivered to your door.
4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it? I sporadically got an allowance. I think it was something really big, like $2 a week.
5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing? Probably something fattening.

1. What's the funniest town name you've ever seen? Well, I couldn't pick just one with such a wealth of them in Arkansas. Actually Scott saw this one: Goobertown, Arkansas: He said he laughed his way through town. Also, right up the road from us there's a place called Booger Hollow, Arkansas (more info. here). But I guess the absolute funniest would have to be Toad Suck, Arkansas -- I kid you not, it's a real place, and sort of a mystery why it's named that --- which is not far from Pickles Gap. And for some bonus Arkansas tourist information, did you know that Arkansas is an old Indian word meaning "land of the orange barrels?"
2. What was the last museum you went to? Does Ripley's Believe It or Not count? We went last month to the one in Branson, Missouri.
3. When was the last time you were grossed out? (I'd been thinking about narrowing this down to the last time you were grossed out a pal's house but why limit responses?) I was grossed out really bad in the car on Wednesday when I was taking Brother Stevens to the eye doctor. I happened to look at his fingernails. I actually started gagging. Poor guy, he's so sweet, but he doesn't have a clue about some important things -- i.e. hygiene, etiquette, etc.
4. What is the best blog title you've come across or made up on your own? Uhhh...
5. Do you live in your hometown now? What caused you to stay or move away? Yes, I would consider this my hometown. I moved here when I was 14, but Scott grew up here. We were gone for over while he was in the military, but we moved back afterwards because my parents and his parents live here.
6. If you were a criminal mastermind, how would you take over the world? If I were a criminal mastermind, I wouldn't reveal my plans. But since I'm not, my mind doesn't think that way. I suppose first of all, it would be important to study what other criminal masterminds have done --- what worked and what failed. I'm sure propaganda would play a big part in my plans. Since one person can't control the whole world alone, I would need to be convincing. People would have to really believe I had something to offer, and that I was right so they would be willing to help me.

I took this quiz because I hate scary movies. At least I ended up with a comedy, although I've never seen it, and wouldn't watch it. Oooo, but one of the possible results was Event Horizon --- and I've seen it --- or at least the parts of it when I looked up... What I did watch I mostly watched in the reflection on the sliding glass door. I don't know how that helped at all --- maybe it diffused the terror a little, LOL. Scott rented it thinking it was just a sci-fi movie. It was horrific and evil --- one of the worst movies I've ever attempted to watch.

Sloth
You are Sloth!
Lazy huh ?? You're a bit slow in getting going -
and tend not to do anything unless it is
absolutely necessary. You'd rather sit around,
watch TV/Sleep then go out and about with
friends, or take part in a sporting event. On
the positive side, you tend to be quite smart,
as you spend a lot of time watching the News
(!!) or on the computer, Also by conserving
your energy, it's right there waiting for you
when it's vitally important to get going.
Consider possibly moving out of the room once in a
while - and perhaps once a week trade watching
TV for half an hour with a walk - and you'll be
back on track.
However, Congratulations on being the most
intelligent of the 7 deadly sins...

What we're really talking about is a wonderful day set aside on the fourth Thursday of November when no one diets. I mean, why else would they call it Thanksgiving?

This guy hates Republicans, apparently. The ad is so ridiculous, that it's actually funny. You just have to love the Nazi, Hitler & KKK symbolism, not to mention the "catchy" tune. It looks like some liberal had way too much time on his hands. I suppose it's easier for some liberals to attack rather than find a reason to support their candidates. I guess it's because the candidates don't stand for anything positive or have any good ideas, and that scares them. After all, isn't hatred actually fear?

This is my oldest baby Jason. He is 18 years old today -- a real milestone. And I feel old today. But he has turned out really well, and I'm so proud of him. I can hardly believe that in a little over a year, he will be gone away on his mission. It will be hard to let go, but it will be good for him. The weird thing about being a mom is that when they're little it's so hard sometimes -- especially for me because I had 5 kids. I feel like there should be more time with them now, but when they were little it seemed like the hard work and stress would never end. But they really do grow up fast. By the time they get fun and useful, it's time for them to leave.

This is some kind of birth month -- thing. You cross out the stuff that doesn't apply to you.

March:
Attractive personality. Sexy. (Scott thinks so) Affectionate. Shy and reserved. Secretive. Naturally honest, generous and sympathetic. Loves peace and serenity. Sensitive to others. Loves to serve others. Easily angered. (actually, not as much now -- just a quick temper) Trustworthy. Appreciative and returns kindness. Observant and assesses others. Revengeful. Loves to dream and fantasize. Loves traveling. Loves attention. Hasty decisions in choosing partners. Loves home decors. Musically talented. (not very much, but a little) Loves special things. Moody. (at least once a month)

  • You're a guy looking for Ms. Right in the personals, and you have to sort through cross-dre$$ing, tr@nsgendered, questioning, pre-op or post-op former gentlemen.
  • You see bathrooms labeled "His," "Hers" and "Others."
  • You celebrate Father's Day by laying a wreath for an unknown donor at the local biotech lab.
  • Casual Friday has been replaced by Clothing-Optional Friday, and nudity is encouraged each year when roughly 50,000 runners, costumed thrill seekers, beer guzzlers and streakers hit the streets for the annual Bay to Breakers race.
  • The city government, with a budget of $5 billion -- larger than nearly 40 out of 50 states -- can't balance its checkbook and still complains that the taxes for corporations and the rich aren't high enough.
  • The name of your child's second-grade teacher is Flipper, and he has more nose rings and bloody body piercings than a bull in Tijuana after the bullfight.
  • The only Republicans you know are President Bush and your deer-hunting uncle in Minnesota, and you hate 'em both.
  • You think "Alice in Wonderland" should be in the nonfiction section of the bookstore.
  • You think that the rest of America is replete with a bunch of screwed-up hillbillies, factory workers, farmers, hunters and veterans -- and that their only redeeming quality is that they pay taxes for the many social programs you, an unemployed artist, can enjoy.

I was recently invited to join Blogs For Bush. I was pretty excited, because I support Bush and I would love to be involved in his re-election campaign. But I was also surprised, because this really isn't a political blog. I feel pretty inadequate blogging about politics, because I'm not really THAT interested in politics. I don't feel I really possess the talent to blog about politics on a regular basis and get into all the issues.

Anyway, here is how I feel about Decision '04:
I support Bush. He is THE Republican candidate, and he is a good man. I wish that he were more interested in shrinking the government, but I guess I can't have it all. And I will vote Republican, because there is no way I could get behind the Democrat platform -- which is pretty much the opposite of everything good and true. And even if I could ever look past the platform there isn't a good candidate for the Democrats. They're almost a joke -- oh wait, they are a joke.

I haven't blogged for a few days. I never did get terribly sick like Charity -- who is still sick :( , but I was gone the entire day Friday with Scott to pick up Cassandra in Texas for Thanksgiving and sign her marriage license (a really long story -- later). Then yesterday we were gone most of the day shopping and going to the movies. And then today was church and my traditional after-church nap.

So now I am finally up again and blogging with my favorite beverage -- Coca-Cola. I really want water. Scott went to his mom's house to refill our water bottles since we ran out last night. They have a good filter system, and we have terrible well water at our house (oily iron water with a twist of sulfur). We have a saline filter which works pretty well, but not well enough to make it taste good. Plus too much filtration and you get zero water pressure. We have a water cooler, and Scott refills the bottles about once a week. I think we have 7 or 8 of the 5-gallon bottles.

But we do love our country living, as the good outweighs the bad. I love living out in the woods after our experiences with apartments, and even our experiences in houses with close neighbors. And I even love our dirt road. It's so washed out and rutted that no one but those who really want to visit us will venture down it -- or deer hunters.
