I got some rest thanks to my earplugs and a sign on my door that said:

Taking a nap w/ earplugs in. Wake me up if you're bleeding or the house is on fire, or some other really important reason.
I love you,
Mom

I slept for over 3 hours, so I guess I needed it. I don't think I slept well last night, but even that doesn't really explain why I was that tired.

I made another blinkie this afternoon:

They are so fun! I love to play with Paint Shop Pro. I've been doing several tutorials that people have created online. I'll have to make a gallery someday when I have more image hosting. I'm out of room as it stands now.

Well, I've given it my best shot this morning. I alternately did laundry and worked on my template adding the current books I'm reading. I'm just so tired. I'm going to lie down with one of my books and read until I fall back asleep. I'm just mean because I'm so tired, and I don't like myself like this.

Wow, I'm under-motivated today. I'm SO tired. Bluh.

Scott left with Jason this morning to help my dad with the sheet-rocking and insulation today. So I do feel a little bad that I'm complaining and thinking about getting back in bed. When he's been working so hard all week.

O.K., I just set my timer. I'm going to use it today. Maybe I can shake off this terrible fatigue one baby-step at a time.

Jason and I read more of Hogfather last night. It's one of the funniest books I've ever read, even for Terry Pratchett, which is saying a heck of a lot.

I took Brother Stevens into town this morning. I brought Charity with me today. O.K., I bribed her with a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper, LOL. Anyway, we bought doughnuts -- no, I didn't eat any -- honestly. Then we went and sat at the bank while Bro. S. went in. Bro. S. keeps all his money there and only gets out what he needs when he goes into town so his neighbors don't steal it, so the bank is always first on the list of places we go. Then we went to Dollar General to get some Tide and headed over to the laundry mat so he could start his laundry. He ate breakfast again because someone had given him pancakes and sausages at the bank. I don't know why, though, but Bro. S. has that effect on people. While his clothes were washing, we went over to Wal-Mart. I took Charity to find some clothes and pick up a few things. When I found Bro. S. again he was wandering aimlessly around in the parking lot pushing the cart with only one tiny bag in it. I went and yelled out the garden center exit door at him that I was almost done (and got a few stares, but life is like that with Bro. S.), and went through the checkout. Then we went back to the laundry mat so he could dry his clothes. He always dries them one quarter at a time. He doesn't trust those dryers. Then we went to Saver Lot (Save-A-Lot) and I waited while he got a few groceries. Then, it was my favorite time -- time to go home. I was a little disappointed that I got roped into viewing his tomato and squash plants, but thankfully nothing was ripe, so I got out of there empty-handed. Then it was home to my much-needed nap. Four hours with Bro. S. is a good medium-size dose for most adults. (actually, probably a very large dose) But he's just one of those people that "ya gotta love." He's annoying, but sort of in the sense of an elderly family member. And he doesn't have a family or a car, so he needs help.

I'm getting ready to leave in a few minutes to meet Scott. It's our date night tonight, which has thankfully become a more regular thing now that the kids are older.

I went to WW tonight and met my mom, but we didn't get to stay for the meeting because we had Taffy with us, and it was still a little too hot outside to leave her in the car. Unfortunately, we both gained a couple of pounds this week. It can get discouraging, but I have to believe that eventually we're going to get off this plateau. We went to dinner at a restaurant that Brother Stevens calls "Stogies" afterward (which probably didn't help). Christopher came with me so he could go back with my mom and dad for a few days. I hope he does O.K. and doesn't get on their nerves too bad.

I got a lot of work done today. The house is looking much better, and I'm getting caught up on the laundry.

My steps were 2530 today, which was a big increase since I started writing it down. I used my timer today, and worked pretty well 5 minutes at a time like I planned until 11 a.m. Still no scriptures, and I haven't been calculating my weight trend. I'm going to try to do both tomorrow. We will see.

I moved all my African violets into the bathroom today onto a small wicker table. The cats have thrashed them, and today was the last straw when Gammie knocked the biggest one off the kitchen counter and proceeded to try to shred it all over the floor. I had to repot it back into the same plastic pot because I don't have a large African violet pot yet. Since I keep my bathroom door closed, they shouldn't get them in there. While I had dirt all over my kitchen, I repotted a smaller one that I bought a new pot for over a month ago.

After the plant incident, Gammie found the box of tampons, and started dragging them out of one of the other bathrooms. I can't figure out why they are so appealing, LOL. Anyway, she got a time out for a couple of hours in Padi's kennel, because I was really tired of her antics.

I found some amazingly cute and well-animated "desktop pals" at
Dodo's New World - pixel star. This is what my favorite one "FaFa" looks like. They run around and play all over your screen, and they are downloadable on this page. I ran all 3 of them at the same time, and they have been playing on my screen all day today. They can do so many things. And unlike real cats, they didn't wreak havoc on anything.

I took a fast, fun little test today at Bloginality, and the results are pretty close to how I perceive myself:

You are an ENFP!
As an ENFP, you are Extraverted, iNtuative, Feeling , Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Feeling.

This is defined as a NF personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Idealist (Identity Seeking) type, and more specifically the Champions or Inspirer.

As a weblogger, you may not be consistant in posts. Although, if you find a specific focus on their journal or a very flexible manner of writing, it may be more fufilling. Because you are warm and see so many posibilities in life, you may inspire others to follow in your footsteps with a journal.

I lost what I was posting which is really annoying. Anyway, my steps were 1666 today. That's not very good yet, but better than yesterday. I didn't really keep up with my points either, but tomorrow is another day. No scriptural thought, ditto.

I made these new blinkies for my signature, which are 2 flowers for "2flower." I really enjoyed making them, and I want to make more blinkies. I'm just out of ideas tonight.

I did get some other stuff done today too, and that made me happy. Scott actually thought I had been working hard. I just need to keep using my timer and increase my work/fun ratio to 1/1 until 11 a.m. when Rush Limbaugh starts. After that I can work during commercials. Then I can go back and do 2/1 or 3/1 for the rest of the day, depending on my mood. I like to work for 5 minutes at a time, LOL. When it comes to unpleasant tasks, I have the attention span of a small child.

Scott had a hard day. The water pump went out on the truck, so he had to fix it this morning for $170, plus he had to work late tonight. Cassandra called to say she got a waitressing job at a Chinese restaurant. I'm glad for her, and I hope she will be able to keep it for awhile so they can save money.

I just received an email notification that I got a comment from AzN Elf who designed the beautiful template I'm using on my site. Since I don't see it on my page yet, I thought I'd post it here:

Comment: Hey, it looks beautiful! I like how you made the 'archives' button and stuff on the right. Nice. ^_^
Name: AzN Elf
Email: aznelftemplates@hotmail.com
URL: http://aznelftemplates.envy.nu

This site has some great templates, so if you're looking for one, this is a good place to start. Thank you again, AzN Elf.

It's been a long day today. Not much happened that was exciting. I fell asleep a couple of times this morning due to a lack of caffeine. Charity drank my last Coke last night.

Anyway, I didn't accomplish much today. I did a little better with my WW points. I only went over by 4, which theoretically could have been Flex Points had I kept up with them this week. As far as the pedometer goes, I had a pathetic grand total of 915 steps. But, the beauty of that is that it's unlikely that I can do worse tomorrow if I do anything at all besides sit here like I did today. Still no scriptural thought---for the dumb reason that I left my scriptures in the car on Sunday. I will try to read them tomorrow.

Now that I'm finally awake, it's time to sleep. But, reading almost always makes me sleepy, so I'm going to go read one of the books I'm working on. I'm going to work on putting those books up on this site tomorrow for fun. I'm also going to find a way to keep my book reviews, etc. J

Update: Lexapro stuff edited to "the vault." But it's definitely helping.

I changed my whole template today, and I'm really happy with it. I plan to keep it for a long time, because it is really hard for me to get things to work. I love LOTR.

I wasn't going to post tonight, but that is kind of the whole point of this page.

I didn't do well on my Weight Watchers today. I had another day that I didn't write down any points (because I wanted to have what I wanted). Tomorrow, I plan to write it down. I will also weigh myself in the morning. I've been using some of the ideas from The Hacker's Diet. I'll have to put links up later. I like to track my weight with moving averages so I can better see how I'm doing, plus it keeps me from hyperventilating at WW. I also want to use my pedometer to see how many steps I take tomorrow. 10,000 is a great goal, but hardly likely. I will try to keep a record on here, along with my points, and any activity points I earn.

We're dog-sitting Taffy for a few days while my mom & dad celebrate their anniversary in Branson. She still looks kind of bad since she got hit by someone's RV. She still has a shaved spot on the top of her head where she got hit. It's amazing that she lived through it, but she seems to be getting pretty old and slow lately. She peed twice on the carpet today. I'm not sure where she ended up sleeping tonight, but I hope she holds it all night.

Scott and I watched Office Space (my choice) tonight. Neither of us had ever seen the whole movie. It was alright. We actually watched it through. But I didn't like all the bad language, song lyrics, and a few scenes. Those bad things weren't nescessary, and it may have been funnier without them. If I had to do it over, I wouldn't have watched it. There were a few funny parts, but the plot was predictable. I would give it 4 out of 10 stars.

Well, that's about it for tonight. I'm going to go read until I fall asleep. I think I'll read Fellowship of the Ring tonight.

Scott and I went out last night. We went to a Mexican restaurant we call La Hurt Ya (because it's hard not to eat too much there), located where Cafe Santa Fe used to be before it went out of business. The food was really good. We rented a couple of movies and started home. We ran into Kristi, so instead of going home, we went to Terry's house and had some more food. Terry is always barbecuing something fantastic, so it was hard to resist. Then we went up and saw the house that Kristi and Bill are fixing up. It needs some work. Scott and I both sensed that it's a sad place, like the people who lived there before weren't happy. Houses do have a mood to them that you can feel. I'm sure once they fix the place up and move their own things in it will be better.

We got home at about 10:30, and the kids really wanted to watch Daredevil (Charity's choice). The movie was O.K. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give it about a 6. But what bothered me most may sound silly. I don't like it when characters that are supposed to be regular people (i.e. not super-human) can do super-human stuff. It didn't bother me that Matt Murdock could "see" by hearing. It bothered me that there was no explanation for all the other stuff he could do, like defy the rules of gravity. And the same would apply to his girlfriend Electra. Anyway, I just find it distracting. I can accept movies like Spiderman, because there's an explanation for what he can do. The same goes with movies like the Matrix. But part of Daredevil kind of reminded me of Mission Impossible 2, where people seem to be weightless and can just fly through the air. I don't know, maybe it only bothers me.

By the time we got to bed last night it was 1:30 a.m. The kids and I were late to church this morning because we were moving slowly, plus I got distracted by a news article about the bill S. 722, and I was busy writing to my Congressman, Senators and the President. To learn more about this bill, check out Project FANS.
